Throughout my career, I have focused on complex commercial disputes, both before and after trial, as well as arbitration and litigation at both the trial and appellate levels. I also handle transactional and general counsel work related to business contracts, trust, and estate matters. My clients have included both domestic and international entities, allowing me to navigate the intricacies of diverse legal systems.
Fluency in English, Spanish, and French enables me to effectively communicate with clients from various backgrounds. This linguistic versatility has been instrumental in representing a wide range of individuals and corporations in different legal matters. I pride myself on providing comprehensive legal assistance tailored to each client's unique needs.
My expertise spans multiple areas of commercial law, and I have achieved favorable outcomes for clients in diverse cases. I have successfully represented minority shareholders in breach of fiduciary duty disputes, members of condominium associations, corporate officers facing breach-of-fiduciary duty claims, and clients involved in intellectual property disputes. I have also handled matters involving real estate, lease negotiations, business valuation, franchising agreements, and insurance-claim disputes.
Before pursuing a legal career, I worked as a telecommunications and data networking engineer for major multinational companies. This experience allowed me to travel extensively, working on projects in over 30 countries for some of the world's largest telecommunications corporations. Following the completion of my MBA, I was promoted to the commercial sales group for northern Latin America. There, I presented technological proposals and business cases to engineering groups, managers, and executives in the communications industry across the United States, the Caribbean, and Latin America.
