"After retiring from my job as a federal law enforcement officer in 2011, my monthly pension turned out to be half of what I was making when I was employed with the federal government. I had an interest-only loan on the 1st mortgage on my dream home. I truly wanted to stay in my dream home!!! I realized that I was not bringing in as much money every month as I used to. The stress was mounting by the day, causing sleepless nights for more than 3 years and relationship problems between my wife and me. Life and marriage was just not fun anymore. One Saturday afternoon, I happened to listen to "The Home Mortgage Law Show" on 610AM WIOD, hosted by The Law Office of Morris | DuPont. "The Home Mortgage Law Show" (now called "The Morris | duPont Law Show" was so informative that I found myself listening to the show nearly every Saturday for one year, taking notes and recording portions of the shows on my iPhone's voice memo. A lot of the time, it sounded as if Atty. Will Morris and Atty. Chae duPont were talking directly to me because I was trying to get a loan modification on my own with no success. My lender, Ocwen Loan Servicing, LLC, would not cooperate with me directly regarding a loan modification because I was current with my mortgage payments. After having my back inch closer and closer to the wall with not many options, I finally picked up the phone and called the Law Office of Morris | duPont in November 2013 and scheduled a free 1-hour consultation. I took a few documents with me to the free consultation. No promises were made to me but the law office's representative thought that they could help me out by getting me some sort of loan modification. Again, no promises were made to me that they actually could get me a loan modification. I retained the Law Office of Morris | duPont to represent me in trying to obtain a loan modification. I was sent a package from the Law Office of Morris | duPont and I completed the package with all of the information they requested of me (i.e. bank statements, pension statements, HOA payment coupon, proof of homeowner's insurance, etc.) After completing that package and returning it to the Law Office of Morris | duPont, I was contacted on a monthly basis for updated bank statements and Profit & Loss Statements and to inform me on the status of my request for a loan modification from Ocwen Loan Servicing, LLC. The Profit & Loss Statements were requested because I started my own business. Having never before prepared a Profit & Loss Statement, the Law Office of Morris | duPont emailed me a Profit & Loss Statement template. All I did was entered my business financial information on the template and returned it to the law office. In mid-September 2014, I received a phone call from the Law Office of Morris | duPont informing me that they had good news and that Ocwen Loan Servicing, LLC had offered me a loan modification!!!. My loan was modified in the following ways: 1) interest rate lowered form 6.625% down to 3.31285% for years 1 - 5 and 4.1% for years 5 - loan maturity [no longer an interest-only loan], 2) a $2,260.37 reduction in monthly payments, 3) still 22 years for loan maturity [I have been in my home 8 years], 4) principal reduction/forgiveness of $406,630.90 [this is not a typo!!!]. Summary: Monthly Savings on Mortgage Payments: $2,260.37; Annual Savings: $27,124.44; Savings Through Loan Maturity: $596,737.68; Principal Forgiveness: $406,630.90; Total Savings: $1,003,368.50. I went from being underwater to having equity in my home now!!! These results that I now am the benefactor of are all because of the Top Notch, Class A legal work performed by the Law Office of Morris | duPont. They are true professionals and definitely know their craft a whole lot better than I do!!! I can now sleep a lot better at night knowing that I can stay in my dream home!!! My amazing and personal results that I have listed above are not to impress any of you. I listed them to merely press upon you that if you are in a situation like I was and feel that there is no way out, pick up the phone and call the Law Office of Morris | duPont at (800) 974-2712. You have nothing to lose!!! I wish that I would have made that call sooner myself!!! Nonetheless, I am ecstatic with my results!!! "I have been a client of Morris duPont for over 4 years. At one point, before the financial meltdown, my wife and I had 3 investment properties and our home. At one point, we paid a company which promised to help us $2K up front. Shame on us. They did nothing except sour us on getting any help. Out of desperation we called Morris duPont. We met w/ them and laid out a strategy. We short sold all our investment properties and had no negative cash outflows or tax issues. We also modified our home....something we tried to do w/ no luck for months on our own prior. I hate attorney...but these guy...or more realistically gals...really saved my wife and I tens of thousands of dollars. I cannot recommend them highly enough."
