"First this was not easy --finding employment lawyers who go up against public entities. I called to make an appointment for a consultation and was informed that an intake would need to take place prior to scheduling consultation. I took a deep breath and braced myself for an intake session weeks out. But to my AMAZEMENT she asked if I was ready to do an intake now -- someone was ready and available and that the process could take up to 45 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised and quickly replied with a big YES! I was placed on a brief hold and then Katelyn introduced herself and asked me questions and patiently listened to my story. Katelyn was WONDERFUL. She was kind, smart and personable.I was struck by the thoroughness of this task. Although I had my documents in the room I was not as prepared as I could have been. Katelyn told me I would be notified within 1-7 days with the outcome. Please be prepared for intake --have a guideline or time table to aid in organizing your thoughts not only for efficiency but this is also your opportunity to share the experience(s)that led you to seek assistance. Depending on the information you provide during intake after the attorney review you may or may not receive a consultation appointment. I received a phone call from Andrea 3 days later informing me that an Attorney requested I schedule a consultation. Yay--I was over the moon! I had my consultation today with Teal Miller and Michael McCoy. I was nervous and they immediately put me at ease. I felt they were both HONEST and COMPASSIONATE.
