"I do not understand the F rating on the BBB. I was referred to this company by a friend who got an amazing result with the gordon law firm. I had a sale date on my home so I signed up any way to know i took every step possible. Not to get into it, but there were severe medical problems within my family and the mortgage was impossible to make for a deal of months. as a result, my sale date was stopped, and i received a 2% modification in 1 month 4 days. By the way, I was working with AHMSI for 2 years, and i was denied multiple times. I just dont understand why people can call this law firm a fraud. well... i had a great experience!"

"We at the Gordon Law Firm definitely appreciate the fact that this client is disabled and on a low income. For our legal programs we usually start at a rate of $3000. Due to this client's financial and physical position we reduced our fees by $1000. Furthermore we broke down a $2000 retainer into 4 payments. We were happy to make this agreement with Thomas but in this posting he even states that he did not make his last payment meaning he did not perform under the attorney retainer. As far as the service goes, clients retain our firm under a PRE-LITIGATION MONETARY CLAIMS PROGRAM. In this program a client receives the following services: 1. Stack the file and collect stipulations 2. Attorney creates the demand letter 3. Qualified Written Request is prepared and sent to you for a signature after your file is complete 4. Senior Legal Negotiator Creates your cost benefit analysis proposal 5. Senior Legal Negotiator submits your proposal to the lender along with demand letter and QWR 6. Attorney researches loan and creates a draft lawsuit 7. Senior Legal Negotiator communicates with our contact at the lender's office until a loan solution is provided 8. Loss Mitigation Negotiations come to a close 9. Case Analysis and Research Packet is sent to you when casework is completed. All of the following casework was completed on Thomas' file. That is why he was sent a completion packet. We like to inform our clients of all of our researched case results. Thomas received this packet of information even though he did not pay us the full retainer amount. We could actually take this case to collections. Furthermore, I don't understand how Thomas can say that there is no proof that legal casework was performed when he received a packet outlining the details of the casework. We want our clients to know what type of claims they can make against their lender that is the purpose of the completion packet. Per Mr. Plaster's case we negotiated a trial modification. His initial trial payment of $654.35 was due November 1, 2010. The original mortgage payment was $829.36. The client was saving $175.01 a month. The client failed to make this payment. It is Mr. Plaster's duty to make the payment on his trial modification. We can not force him to pay his mortgage. The negotiated payments were 31% of the presented gross income which is what was presented to Mr. Plaster initially. Office Manager The Gordon Law Firm"

"I have no idea where to start with this place. they claim to know the legal laws and steps to take for mortgage modifications. well, all they do is the processing...while you have no idea who Gordon is he or his law firm ( better yet rip off agency) reminded me of something like the movie "the boiler room" where employees who did not help at all were in one big room probably cross calling, cold calling looking to see who else they could rip off. I relied on email since it was difficult to speak w/ them. On one occasion i called & spoke to a supervisor & said he wasn't going to be babysitting our case by calling us back every day. i scoffed & said, "are you kidding? i have been trying to call at least 1-2 times a week just to get someone on the phone" (i tried to be cordial and give them time to work on our case) i didn't expect to be nursed at all. all i wanted was an update. Meanwhile extra paperwork was requested, when I'd call to verify if they received it they'd say i had to wait 24hrs b4 they could confirm. They kept doing this from May, Jun- August 2010. Point is they said they were submitting it to BofA from the very brief times i did speak with the firm. Processing paperwork for about $3k? I could've done it myself, calling the bank and negotiating 4 free, but he said Gordon law firm knew about laws I didn't. They never sent a letter re: our mod, but instead a warning notice to respond to Gordon Law Firm within 72hrs or else our case would be closed. What?! They were taking way over 45days+ to respond, yet they had the nerve to send a letter stating they were going to cancel our case if I didn't call them? i was completely baffled.I don't believe they ever intended to neither help nor conclude to anything, not even by email or mail. :( all our efforts to comply with every doc they requested were submitted each time along with our hard earned money for free while they never did anything at all on their end. either way they never helped; never gave us an answer, never called us and never concluded to anything, not even by mail. :( I grew angry because all my hard earned money went to them for free and they never did anything at all and worst of all kept my money. i'm still upset at this place.. if you got help, then i'm happy for you...but as for my family and myself we never got my money back from them doing nothing and my parents still lost their house. had Gordon law firm been diligent and attentive they could've possibly done something about it and i would've applauded them for their efforts... regardless of the outcome. however, they never took the time to look into it. i would never in my life recommend this rip off place to anyone trying to modify, or fix anything regarding their home. i don't even know who mr. gordon is. so, please do extensive research before considering this place....if they're still business that is.... i rest my case here...for now"

"I hope you can learn from my unfortunate experience. After being denied a loan modification when applying directly to Chase bank, I decided to hire someone to help me. I chose Gordon & Assoc. I spent $3,500 to have G&A help me with the financial part of my loan modification. The person I initially met with (John) told me that this is what they specialized in and the Sr. Account person who would be assigned to me was a specialist in looking over the financial aspect of my loan, particularly my Profit and Loss statement. I was also told that after he worked on my paperwork, all paperwork was sent to Mr. Gordon to review before turning it in. He also mentioned pre litigation and that the threat of suing the bank often results in being given the Loan Mod, but any litigation would be done "only after they had done everything they could to help me get the loan". They did none of the above. After getting the paperwork in, I called the Senior Account person (Carl) several times to ask about the Profit and Loss Statement. He said he made the necessary changes and everything looked good. When I was denied the loan I was shocked. I was now assigned to a Litigation person (Chris) and told that I could now sue Chase at additional fee of $2,000 to start and then $1,000 a month until a settlement was reached. I asked to see a copy of my file to see what they had done other than file the paperwork. I was upset to see that no changes had been made and they had just sent in the paperwork for the loan modification the same as I had done on my own. I asked G&A for a refund of the money that I had paid as they did not do what they said they would. I received a call from another person from Gordon and Assoc. (Rick) who told me I would not get a refund. That although they made verbal promises, the contract says that all they promised to do was send a form letter to the bank stating their intentions to sue if I did not receive the loan mod. I finally realized that I paid $3,500 for a form letter!!!"
