"Herb is an excellent attorney in Coral Gables that I 100% recommend. Here is his bio from his website: Mr. Borroto is a partner and heads the firm's Medical Negligence Division. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Mr. Borroto graduated from the University of Miami in 1983 with Bachelors degrees in Chemistry and Biology. Subsequently, he attended and graduated from medical school at the Universidad Technologica de Santiago with his M.D. degree. With this medical degree, Mr. Borroto is uniquely qualified to handle medical malpractice claims. He graduated After completing medical school, Mr. Borroto returned to Miami where he worked for a local physician malpractice insurance company assisting in the defense of medical malpractice claims. He became a licensed adjuster in the State of Florida. Intrigued by the medical-legal field, he decided to study law at St. Thomas University where he attained his J.D. degree with honors in 1990. Mr. Borroto's legal career has included both the defense of healthcare professionals as well as representing clients in lawsuits against these individuals. He is one of the few attorneys that have actual experience on both sides of the fence as well as holding both an M.D. and J.D. degree. This makes him uniquely qualified to handle the complex issues that arise in medical malpractice cases. Admitted: 1992, Florida 1993, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida, Member: The Florida Bar American Bar Association Florida Justice Association, American Association for Justice fka, A.T.L.A. "Hello my fellow yelpers, Did you read the first review? That person gave Mr. Borroto a 5 star rating. Do you see what I see? Obviously Herbie is patting himself on his back by post his own review. I hear a lot of people like to do this now a days when they are able to rate themselves online. Herb, next time be a little bit more discrete. We know you are a lawyer and are just so proud of you. But please, we may not be as smart as you but next time do not think that we are all so stupid to think that one of your clients actually would write this about you. Come on do you really think that we are all so dumb? So why I am rating you? Hummmmm Let me start with the fact the fact that you sued one of my friends a few years ago and lied (lawyered) your way thought out the case and caused another good doctor to become disheartened with medicine. Yes, you won the case but not without lying. Let us get the facts straight. You seem to think that you were a Medical Doctor and this clearly is not the case. You graduated University of Miami (my old school as well) in 1983 then you went to Medical School in the Dominica Republic (a 4 year medical school) and I suppose you graduated in 1987. Then you went to St. Thomas University (a 3 year law school) and graduated with your J.D. in 1990. SO WHEN DID YOU ACTUALLY WORK AS A MEDICAL DOCTOR? On yelp where you actually rated yourself, you said that [YOU ARE] ONE OF THE FEW ATTORNEYS THAT HAVE ACTUAL EXPERIENCE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE FENCE. More Hummmmmmm Oh that is right you are just lawyering (lying)! I forgot this is what you do. My fault, sorry! Herb are you upset because you never made it in life as a Medical Doctor and you resent Medical Doctors because you could not get into a US medical school and after you finished Medical School in Dominica Republic you still could not become a Medical Doctor in the states? I am so sorry you have so much pain. I have a nice friend with a big black couch you can talk to her about your problems. At the end of the day people like you Herb may have money but you will still face the end like most people do. Begging the healthcare profession to help you. Do not worry Herb we will still help you. Not because you are a good person or because we respect you. We will help you because this is what we do. We help people! Us in the healthcare profession do not hate you Herb but we sort of feel sorry for you. Why because in the end (you are over half the way there by your age), we just have no respect for people like you. There are some excellent lawyers out there in the world who we do respect because they do a good thing for society but not you. I am sorry if the truth hurts. Sincerely, The Truth"
